A little bit about me, I am a portrait and fashion photographer. I began shooting professionally 6/7 years ago.
I started with a simple Nikon D80 and a 50mm lens and only added to my kit as and when I had earned enough from photography to afford it. This basic kit taught me to get the most I could from limited lighting options and gear. Sadly the D80 was dropped on its head one day and now sits broken and cracked on the shelf.
So here are a few of my cameras. I also have a number of cameras I rarely use which have been added to the collection over the years, but thought I would limit this to kit I use on a regular basis.
Nikon D3
Incredible workhorse of a camera. I have had this for years now and bought it from a good friend of mine who upgraded to a Nikon D3S. There is something lovely about this camera. It’s beginning to show signs of old age but I still love using it.
Nikon D800
More megapixels than I need and I’m using it now more than the Nikon D3.
Nikon FM3a
Since I have so many Nikon manual focus lenses this made sense for 35mm.
Mamiya 6
6×6 medium format film, this camera is a dream. Great lenses easy to carry… it doesn’t get much better. Probably my favorite camera at the moment.
Mamiya RZ67
Great for the studio. I tried carrying this round Burma for a week, but it’s a beast and should stay in the studio I think..:)
