How to Combine Photos on iPhone Using Shortcuts

Step 1: Launch the Shortcuts app and tap the plus symbol on the main screen.

This action will create a new shortcut for your iPhone.

Step 2: Tap the “New Shortcut” to rename it using a descriptive name, such as “Combine Images.” Then tap “Done” to save.

Renaming the shortcut will help you quickly identify the folder where you can combine images or create a collage.

Step 3: Tap “Add,” search for photos, and tap desired photos to add as a shortcut action.

Step 4: Tap the arrow next to Select Photos to toggle on Select Multiple Photos.

Step 5: To combine images, search for “Next Action” and tap to add a desired image shortcut.

This action allows you to create a new shortcut and quickly access combined photos.

Step 6: To stack photos with one on the top and one on the bottom, tap “Horizontally” to readjust the images and change to “Vertically.”

Readjusting photos is necessary to combine images in this manner because combining photos this way defaults to horizontal.

Step 7: If desired, create a space between combined photos by tapping the arrow next to “Horizontally” for additional options. Increase the number for more space between images and then click “Done.”

Step 8: It is time to save your new combined photo collage by clicking “Save to Album.”

This action will save your images to your “Recents” album by default but can be changed by tapping “Recents” and selecting a different album to save the photos.

Step 9: Finally, click “Done” to save your new collage shortcut.

Photoshop Express is a photos app providing you with the tools needed to combine photos, merge photos, and create a unique photo collage with photos.

Step 1: Open one of the multiple photos you want to merge in Photoshop Express.

You can do this from the app’s dashboard by clicking on the “From Your Photos” button.

Step 2: Now, select “Browse From Your Device” to open up your photos app file explorer.

Step 3: Once this folder is open, select the first picture you want to combine and click “Open.”

A new window will open, and you will click on “Start with this Photo.”

Step 4: You can now upload a second photo by selecting the “Photos” tab to the left and then clicking on “Upload Photo.”

From here, you can browse for the second photo to add and then click “Open.”

Step 5: To remove the background from the second photo, select the image and click on the “Remove Background” option from the “Edit Image” window on the right.

This action allows you to remove the background from the second photo making it easier to overlay the image on the first image selected.

When satisfied, click the “check” icon in the top right corner.

Step 6: With the background of the second photo removed, you can resize the image using the small pill handles found on all four corners of the picture.

This action allows you to resize the second image to ensure it looks in the right place by appearing too large or too small when set on top of the first selected photo.

Step 7: When satisfied with your new photo collage or merged photo creation, click on the “Download” button at the top menu.

When ready, select the “Start Download” button.
