Hi Paul,
The benefit of this lens is it is a super fast zoom for the micro four thirds system. A 35mm as you mentioned will become 70mm fixed on this system and won’t have the close focusing ability to do detail shots of jewelry at weddings, nor have the flexibility of a zoom.

talking about macro and taking landscape pics is kind of funny… same with that lil jewelry, just take a 35mm lens and you’re good.
would love to see some real special shots, which require such a lens ;)
