However, I decided to pass on the Cluthc, and go with the Slide instead, for one major reason…Your first “Dislike” was the deal-breaker…not being able to use it with a tripod! Whereas the PD Slide Strap does not attach to the tripod socket, thus being able to be on-camera even when mounted on a tripod, which, in my case, is 99% of the time. Secondly, IMHO, having to depend on another tool (an allen wrench) is simply not a “peak” design. Thank you!

I have the leash and prefer it mounted on the two top mounts which would mean removing the anchor each time so instead I use the anchor and loop the clutch through the anchor. The fit is not quite as slick/snug but I have used it this way for quite extended periods with no sense of risk of dropping. Indeed it tightens up. Well. And feels snug even when used with 70-200 2.8 lens.
However I do have quite large hands…

I was expecting a ‘quick remove’ setup like the straps where I can just slide the anchor on and off in one swipe. (Yeah, I didn’t read the product description well.) I agree it gets easier with time, but it’s not super quick. The reason I moved to PD is that I like swapping out straps for different situations. Sometimes I like a wrist strap, sometimes a neck strap. I had hoped the clutch could be put on and off easily like PD’s other straps. Alas, not the case.
