I didn’t want to spend a lot of money digitizing them, so I put together a DIY solution that worked quite well. I bought an LED Light Pad on Amazon for about $50, a double thick piece of glass for $2, and used my Nikon D7000 with a 30mm lens and an extension tube. It took some time to review, select and shoot all the images I wanted to convert, but the results were great. One of the images I converted won BoS in a recent photography contest. So, overall, I’m very satisfied with my digitize-on-the-cheap project!
