Lance Camera Straps Review

I must admit that I am a huge geek when it comes to camera straps and I have far too many in my collection.

Much like with camera bags, some of us have this never-ending search for the perfect camera strap and I think I may have found my holy grail.

Build & Appearance

Both the Lance Camera Straps Lug and the Non-Adjust Neck Strap are incredibly well-manufactured products.

The straps look very stylish with both an old-world charm from the braided cord and a modern sensibility in the fittings.

These elements combined mean that the Lance Camera Straps look great on any camera regardless of the size and style.

The braiding on the straps is accurate with no signs of pilling or fraying. The weave is firm but not so tight as to make the strap inflexible and rough when in your hand or up against your body.

Each end of the strap is cleverly spliced back into itself to show no actual ends to the polyester cord.

These spliced areas are reinforced with black rubber rings that keep the splice closed and add additional stability to the cord.

The attractive range of colours and sizes for the Non-Adjust strap gives you some creative freedom to choose the strap that best suits your carrying style and design aesthetic.

I ordered the Lance Camera Straps Non-Adjust Neck Strap in 121.9cm (48″). However, it also comes in 91.4cm (36″), 106.7cm (42″), or any custom length you can order up to 178cm (70″).

Both of the straps that I tested for this review proved to be incredibly durable and hardy and would take some serious work to damage any part of the design.

They are also very lightweight thanks to the clever use of a premium polyester to form the braid of the strap.

These camera straps will easily support any camera you attach them to and Lance provides a range of styles with different connection systems.

Ease of Use

Personally, I am a big wrist strap fan, and when I had the opportunity to attach the Lance Camera Straps Lug wrist strap to my camera, it felt instantly at home.

Thanks to the firmness of the weave, the wrist hole remains open so I can easily slip my hand into the strap.

There is nothing worse than having your hands full and trying to get a flat laying strap to open single-handed.

The same freedom can be experienced with the Lance Camera Straps Non-Adjust Neck Strap. The strap tends to hold its open form but is equally pliable and can be wound up or wound around your wrist a couple of times depending on how you choose to carry your camera.

Camera straps may seem like simple accessories but long term comfort and ease of use are essential and these straps have that in spades.
