Where to Buy Disposable Cameras

Buy disposable Cameras

You might think who sells disposable cameras in this digital age? But that’s far from the truth, disposable cameras are still in high demand.

In my case, It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of buying products via Amazon. When I’m in the UK, 90% of my shopping is done online with Amazon, and I can’t rate them highly enough.

However, I sometimes also check out the cheap disposable cameras at Poundland or Home Bargains disposable camera collection.

Amazon is without a doubt my recommendation on where to buy disposable cameras.

If you have Amazon Prime Membership, you can take advantage of free delivery, which sometimes even arrives on the same day!

This makes shopping on Amazon even more convenient than leaving the house to go shopping.

Amazon Prime also offers lots of other cool benefits, like free music and videos – there are often discounts on Amazon Prime membership, such as the one below:

  • What about bulk disposable cameras?

When I was helping to organise a friend’s wedding last year, she was asking where to buy disposable cameras in bulk – 25 to be exact, one for each wedding table during the reception.

One Amazon search later and I came across these Fujifilm QuickSnap Flash Disposable Cameras, available in packs of 10.

They are also available in packs of 2, or in packs of 4, and cost roughly $6 each – if you’re looking for cheap disposable cameras, it doesn’t get any cheaper than this!

Despite them being so cheap, the Fujifilm QuickSnaps are actually pretty good! The flash is powerful, and the ISO (or ‘ASA’) is relatively high for a disposable camera (400), meaning that they handle lower light well.

Fujifilm is well known in the photography industry for making excellent film stock, so it’s no surprise that the photos out of the Fujifilm QuickSnap are good quality and sharp.

(Another option if you’re willing to spend a little more for better quality is the Kodak Fun Saver – it’s definitely not the cheapest disposable camera in 2023, but the quality image it produces is better than cheaper options.)

So the short answer of where to buy a disposable cameras in bulk (or just a couple) is Amazon!

What is the Best Disposable Camera?

In my experience having bought a wide range of both ‘pricey’ and cheap disposable cameras over the years, there are two firm favorites that I always recommend to others: the Fuji Quick Snap and the Kodak Fun Saver.

(If I had to choose just one, I’d go with the Fun Saver.)

They are both similarly priced and offer the same advantages – affordability, portability, film quality, flash power, ease of use and most importantly, fun factor!

Both of them are also great disposable cameras for parties, where you’ll truly appreciate their powerful flash.

Each disposable camera has one roll of film in it with 27 exposures (i.e. you can take 27 photos).

The Kodak Fun Saver uses ISO800 film, whereas the Fuji Quick Snap uses ISO400.

This means that the FunSaver gives you a bit more flexibility in low light – you’ll have a slightly less grainy photo, although since you’ll always be using flash, it shouldn’t be noticeable.

Image quality is similar on both cameras, but I prefer the more-rounded colour tones of the Kodak Fun Saver which uses Kodak Gold 800 film stock – a firm favorite with film photography fanatics.

However, some people love the cooler tones of the Fuji Quick Snap with its nostalgic blue/green tints.

I also prefer how the Kodak Fun Saver feels in my hands – it’s a little more comfortable to hold and feels slightly higher quality than the Quick Snap.

Whether you buy a Quick Snap or a Fun Saver, I’m confident you’ll be happy with the outcome.

For me and many others, the Fun Saver is still the best disposable camera in 2023, but I’d recommend you get a Fun Saver to compare for youself too.

Disposable Cameras for Weddings

disposable cameras for weddings

Buying disposable cameras for weddings is hugely popular.

Some guests like wedding photo booths, but most prefer to use cheap disposable cameras at their weddings since it’s so much more convenient.

Having a disposable camera sitting on each guest’s table at a wedding reception (or distributing them like in the photos above from WikiHow) means that each one of your guests is much more likely to take photos of each other than with a photo booth.

It’s also a great conversation starter to ensure that all your guests are talking on their tables – guests are forced to ask the person sitting next to them to take their photo, then reciprocate the favour.

(Compare this to a photo booth, where guests usually only ever involve themselves.)

The ideal situation would be to have a photo booth and disposable cameras for weddings, to ensure you capture all your guests’ fun. However, when the budget isn’t quite there, disposable cameras are the next best bet.

As for where to buy your disposable cameras for weddings, there are many specialty companies which produce custom products just for this.

HOWEVER, I’d always recommend buying regular disposable cameras like this from Amazon for 2  reasons.

1. Price

The cost of buying disposable polaroid cameras in bulk for weddings is often cheaper than the price of buying custom ones. You can get 10 Fujifilm QuickSnaps for around $130.00, i.e. $13.00 per camera!

Compare this to your average custom disposable wedding camera company which usually charges a premium per camera, and wants you to adhere to minimum order quantities.

Weddings are expensive enough as it is – save some money and get your disposable cameras from Amazon ;-)

Though Amazon is the cheapest place to buy disposable cameras, but, if you happen to be in the UK, you can check out disposable wedding cameras at ASDA or Poundland for discount deals.

2. Quality

This is a big one. The disposable cameras used by custom wedding camera manufacturers are usually very low quality – they have to be, to keep prices down.

Most of their cost goes into printing the fancy ‘jackets’ which house the camera, meaning that the actual camera itself isn’t great.

However, Dollar Tree disposable camera can be a good option as well but nothing beats the Fujifilm and Kodak quality.

The Fujifilm QuickSnaps and the Kodak Fun Savers on the other hand have many great reviews of how good the quality of the image is.

With a powerful flash, Fujifilm’s legendary film stock and an ISO of 400, you’re pretty much guaranteed great photos every time!

Disposable Camera Developing

Disposable Camera Developing

One thing that you should keep in mind when searching for where to buy use and throw cameras is the actual costs involved in disposable camera developing.

Depending on where you live, the options for developing disposable cameras will be varied. If you live in America, or anywhere where there’s a Costco or a Walgreens, you’re in luck!

Not all Costcos and Walgreens support disposable camera developing, but a quick google research should find somewhere close to you that does. It’s also usually very cheap, and you have the option of having your prints scanned by the store too.

Yes that’s right – just because you’re using a disposable camera doesn’t mean you can’t have your photos digitized, to be emailed to your friends or shared on Facebook!

If you use disposable cameras for weddings, having the prints scanned, then put into an online album to be emailed to your guests is a great way to do it.

If you don’t live near a Costco or Walgreens, check your local pharmacies who still usually do disposable camera developing.

If you’re feeling game, here’s our guide on how to develop film at home.

You can also get disposable camera pictures on your phone.

Final Words on Disposable Cameras

No matter what level of photographer you are, or even if you’ve never taken a photo before, these fun and cheap throw away cameras will always be popular.

Disposable cameras are cheap, light-weight, tough (you can drop them and it won’t matter), and are even available as waterproof disposable cameras for use on holiday at the pool.
